Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Pets in Detail.
2. Our service
Pets in Detail creates personalised pet life archives using photographs, memories, questionnaire responses and other information supplied by the customer.
Our current products are custom digital products. Nothing is posted unless a product description expressly states that a printed item is included.
3. Placing an order
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- the information you provide is accurate;
- you have permission to provide and use all submitted photographs;
- you are authorised to place the order and make payment;
- you have reviewed the product description, price and estimated delivery time.
An order is accepted when we send confirmation that it has been received and accepted.
4. Customer materials
You retain ownership of the photographs and information you submit.
You grant Pets in Detail permission to use those materials solely to create, revise and deliver your purchased archive and to provide customer support.
You must not submit photographs or content that:
- belong to someone else without permission;
- infringe copyright, privacy or other rights;
- contain unlawful, abusive or offensive material.
We may refuse unsuitable content and contact you to request alternatives.
5. Questionnaire and photographs
After purchase, we will send instructions for completing the questionnaire and supplying photographs.
The quoted creation period does not begin until we have received all required answers and usable photographs.
Delays in supplying information may delay completion of the archive.
6. Creation and delivery time
We aim to deliver the completed digital archive within 14 business days after receiving the completed questionnaire and all required photographs.
Delivery dates are estimates rather than guaranteed deadlines unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
The finished digital archive will be delivered electronically to the email address supplied with the order.
7. Proofs and revisions
The purchase price includes:
- one proof;
- one round of reasonable corrections.
Corrections include fixing factual, spelling or layout errors and making reasonable amendments based on the information originally supplied.
Major rewrites, new photographs, new information, changes of direction or additional revision rounds may require an additional fee. We will explain any fee before carrying out that extra work.
8. Accuracy
Customers are responsible for checking names, dates, facts, spelling and photographs during the proof stage.
Once the final archive has been approved and delivered, we may charge for changes that were not requested during the included revision stage.
9. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated.
Payment is required at checkout. Payments are processed through the payment methods displayed on the website.
We may correct obvious pricing errors. If an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you before proceeding.
10. Cancellation and refunds
Because our archives are personalised and created specifically for each customer, cancellation rights may be limited once work has begun.
You may request cancellation before creative work starts.
Once you have returned the questionnaire, supplied photographs or asked us to begin the personalised service, the order may become non-refundable, except where required by law.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights. Please also read our Return and Refund Policy.
11. Digital products
Digital files cannot be physically returned.
You are responsible for providing a valid email address and for safely storing the final file after delivery.
Please contact us promptly if a delivered file is corrupted, incomplete or cannot be opened.
12. Personal use
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the completed archive is supplied for personal, non-commercial use.
You may print and share your own completed archive privately.
You may not resell, commercially reproduce or claim ownership of our layouts, templates, written structure or design system.
13. Our intellectual property
The Pets in Detail name, branding, website content, product layouts, writing formats, design elements and templates remain our intellectual property.
The customer owns their original photographs and personal information. The final personalised archive may be used by the customer for personal purposes as described above.
14. Promotional use
We will not publicly use your photographs, archive pages, pet’s story or testimonial for marketing without your permission.
Any permission granted for promotional use may be subject to separate written agreement.
15. Problems with the service
Please contact hello@petsindetail.com if you believe the service or final archive does not match the order.
We will review the issue and, where appropriate, correct errors, replace an unusable file or provide another remedy required by law.
16. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from a purchase made for personal use.
17. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events reasonably outside our control, including serious illness, internet outages, platform failures or other exceptional circumstances.
We will contact affected customers and take reasonable steps to reduce delays.
18. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms applying to your order will be those published when the order was placed.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Consumers living elsewhere may also have the benefit of mandatory protections in their country of residence.
